Continuing their ascent to the top of the pile of Belgian bands - are Antwerp’s Few Bits. New single ‘Sweet Warrior’ - the latest cut to be lifted from their forthcoming second full length Big Sparks, is a charming, nostalgic affair; welding elements of blissful indie-pop with serene, shoe-gazey indie rock. Karolien Van Ransbeeck’s feathery vocal-turns occupy the spaces left by the sparse, but captivating instrumentals - with some delicately plucked guitar work guiding the verses. The track then elegantly sways into its catchy chorus - before drifting into a dark, almost Noel Gallagher-esque post chorus. All in all, it’s another really strong offering from the Belgian band - and it’s sure to ramp up the excitement for the new album Big Sparks, set for release via Play It Again Sam (Belgium) on September 30th. -JC
